    One of the easiest vehicles to steal has got to be the iconic Landrover Defender. The build design hasn’t changed since it was first introduced in 1983 so parts are easily interchangeable between vehicles. As well as this the factory security system is also dated, meaning it’s easily bypassed to steal the vehicle. Many Landrover Defender owners are now faced with the fact they could wake up one morning to find it stolen.     Also, some other features of the highest level alarm are the tilt and glass break sensors. The tilt sensor will trigger the alarm when someone tries to tow the vehicle. The Glass Break sensor will trigger the alarm system when someone smashes a window.

If you don’t enter the number onto the valet switch the alarm system immobilises the vehicle.  Also, it stops the ignition barrel and remote controls from working. Only by entering the override code for the alarm system will the vehicle start once again.
