Landrover Defender Security UpgradeOne of the easiest vehicles to steal has got to be the iconic Landrover Defender. The build design hasn’t changed since it was first introduced in 1983 so parts are easily interchangeable between vehicles. As well as this the factory security system is also dated, meaning it’s easily bypassed to steal the vehicle. Many Landrover Defender owners are now faced with the fact they could wake up one morning to find it stolen. By installing one of our Landrover Defender security upgrades you will reduce the risk of theft of the vehicle.

Depending on the level of security you require with our Landrover Defender security upgrades we have an alarm to suit your needs. From the entry level to the top of range one, any security system will greatly decrease the chances of it being stolen. Our entry level alarm provides an amazing level of protection which the top alarm improves on with additional sensors. One of the best features of both alarms is the proximity sensor. The proximity sensor works by creating a bubble around the front door area of the vehicle.  If someone is within range the alarm emits an aggressive chirp to warn them away from the vehicle.

Also, some other features of the highest level alarm are the tilt and glass break sensors. The tilt sensor will trigger the alarm when someone tries to tow the vehicle. The Glass Break sensor will trigger the alarm system when someone smashes a window.

Anti Hi-Jacking Feature

Landrover Defender security upgrades Clifford Alarm LED and Valet Switch Adding a security device to a vehicle is all well and good, however if someone breaks into your house and steals the car keys most alarm systems are useless. The beauty of the Clifford alarm system is the anti hijacking feature called ‘Blackjax.’  This is a system that uses a unique code number for the alarm. If you don’t enter the number onto the valet switch the alarm system immobilises the vehicle.  Also, it stops the ignition barrel and remote controls from working. Only by entering the override code for the alarm system will the vehicle start once again.
