2015 Audi A6 Audio Upgrade

After purchasing this lovely vehicle, the customer was rather disappointed with the audio sound he was getting. Being a musician he knew a good sound and this isn’t what Audi were offering with this A6 Quattro.  His main aim was to receive higher quality, more clarity, accuracy and definition.

After numerous trips to our premises to listen to different speakers and music styles he made a decision.  For the front doors we supplied and installed Hertz Mille Legend ML1650 mid bass drivers and the ML700 mid range speaker. For the top of the dash, we installed a pair of Hertz ML280 35mm tweeters which were angled slightly to aim the sound better.  These 6 speakers were run actively from 2 Hertz HDP4 amplifiers.  The other 2 channels were utilised to power a Hertz ES200 8″ subwoofer in a slot ported enclosure.

The signal into the 2 amplifiers was from the factory deck via an Audison BitONE.  The BitONE allows us to equalise the poor signal quality from the factory deck. This then allows us to set up time alignment features aswell as different EQ settings for the driver.
