This BMW 3 Series E36 Cabriolet was upgraded by Source Sounds with a fully bespoke audio installation, carefully designed to deliver exceptional sound quality while retaining a clean, OEM-style finish. After extensive listening sessions in our showroom, the customer selected JL Audio C3 6.50″ component speakers for the front to achieve a detailed and accurate soundstage, complemented by JL Audio C2-650x 6.50″ coaxial speakers in the rear for balanced rear fill.
The front components are powered by a JL Audio XD500/3 three-channel amplifier, ensuring controlled, distortion-free output, while the sub channel drives a JL Audio 8W3v3 8″ subwoofer installed within a custom-built enclosure tailored specifically to the E36 Cabriolet’s boot space. As visible in the installation, Source Sounds fabricated a neatly trimmed, fully carpeted boot build with integrated amplifier panels and discreet wiring to maintain practicality without compromising aesthetics.
